This project received funding from multiple sources, including the Economic and Social Research Council Advanced Quantitative Methods PhD Award (2015 £79,811), the Economic and Social Research Council Multidisciplinary Funding Competition (2015 £10,405.00), the Economic and Social Research Council, Oversea Institutional Visit Competition (2017 £3,965), and the Conflict Research Society (2018 £1,800). This large project led to the development of four articles published in top-ranked peer-reviewed journals (Journal of Peace Research, Nature Human Behaviour, Terrorism and Political Violence, Journal of Global Security Studies), a monograph published with the Routledge Studies in Civil Wars and Intra-State Conflict, and to the development of a solid international network.
